Apr. 19, 2021 12:00 p.m.
Alexa Rundquist is District 5950 full-time Executive Director! Alexa works directly with the District Governor line, District 5950 Board of Directors and, most importantly, all the clubs and their members. Her work focuses on:
- Day-to-day operations - Finances - ClubRunner administration - Event and registration management - Serving Rotarians as questions arise. A North Dakota native, Alexa considers Minnetonka Rotary her Minnesota Family for the past 10 years. Her husband, Nate, is also a Minnetonka member. Alexa is a self-motivated driven leader with a history of working in the emergency preparedness and public health field. She knows a lot of wonderfully useless Rotary trivia, endless tricks in ClubRunner, how to navigate Rotary International's website, and can't wait to serve the District. Alexa's favorite part of Rotary is the one-on-one connections and friendships she has made.

Join us for our Service Above Self Day project where our club will be installing benches, planting grass seed, adding woodchips, and helping in other ways around the Adventure Playground at Gomsrud Park in Fairmont. Everyone is welcome. Feel free to bring your spouse, your kids, or even a guest. If you have a Rotary t-shirt or polo shirt, be sure to wear it. Help is needed from 12-1 pm and 1-2 pm. You can sign up for one time or multiple times. We are not sure exactly how long the project will take. A lot depends on how many volunteers we have and how quickly make work of the project. Lunch will be provided for those volunteering. Feel free to invite your spouse, your kids, or a guest. Just be sure to sign everyone up who is coming so we can have an accurate food count. Click on the "Service Above Self Day Volunteers" box to sign up. CREST
Jul. 19, 2021
Enhancing Quality of Life. Life is more than living in the walls of your home. It is doing those things that bring enjoyment, add zest to your day and interactions with family, friends and community. Karen will share the incredibly positive impact when CREST opened all in person services, the expansion of services, the first Summer Intern and the excitement within the CREST family. When we were young we dreamed of leaving home. When we grow older we dream of staying in our home. Living lives to the fullest, being as active as possible, enjoying family and friends, engaging in favorite activities and even exploring new interests, most of all being independent are dreams shared by most Senior Citizens and Caregivers. That’s where CREST comes in…To Keep Dreams Alive! |

District Governor's Presentation
Jul. 26, 2021 12:00 p.m.
Marianna Khauv has been a member of the Monticello Rotary Club since 1994 and served as its secretary, international service chair and Club President in 2012-2013. She serves as a member of District Grant Committee from 2013-2019, and as Rotary District 5950 Area 13 Assistant Governor from 2016 to 2019.
Marianna was born in Taiwan and immigrated to United States with her parents at age thirteen. She did not speak any English and was amazed with the new culture and new environment, especially SNOW and Below zero temperature!
Marianna and her husband, Onn Khauv, have settled in Monticello since 1991 where they raised their three daughters, Malinda Amanda and Olivia. Monticello then was a small town with population about 4,000. Marianna and Onn’s restaurant were embraced by the local residents. With the success of their businesses, they soon start finding ways to volunteer to give back to the community. “The more we give back, the more we benefit from it, it is a vicious circle!” said Marianna. Her theme as the Chair of Monticello Chamber of Commerce in 1999 was “U” & “I” working in “Unity” for a better “CommUnIty”. This has been Marianna’s focus in her Rotary world, both locally & globally.
Together, with the help from Rotary Clubs of Alexandria, Buffalo, St. Michael & Albertville, and Monticello, she was able to build a total of three libraries for schools in rural villages of Cambodia where there were no running water nor electricity. To Marianna, it is a true testimony of the power of Rotary -working together!
